That's a wrap! Our 3rd and FINAL meet has officially closed out the 2021 *in-person* XC season and the results are in!

THANK YOU to all of our participants and school communities for coming out this season altogether and also for competing in our FINAL Cross Country meet of the 2021 season on Wednesday, October 20th at Cheviot Hills Rec. All results and times from all (3) three meets are IN and can be permanently found on our FIYA athletic.net page. See below for details on our top runners of the 10/20/21 meet. We have HUNDREDS of professional photos from all (3) three in-person meets and team packages are now available for purchase! 100% of proceeds from our photo sales will go to the Shanese Washington Memorial Scholarship fund, an annual FIYA scholarship that will be awarded to (2) two deserving student-athletes in FIYA, all in honor of our beloved co-worker and FIYA Director of Special Events. Your purchase will go a long way in helping us fuel this fund for future student recipients to come! TOP RUNNERS OF THE MEET

In FIYA Cross Country, we award medals to the top finishers of each gender division for every meet. For every five (5) runners in a race, one (1) medal is awarded.  (Ex: 60 total runners = 12 medalists)

MORE 2021 FIYA XC OPPORTUNITIES

Don't want the season to end? While this was our final in-person XC meet of the 2021 season, there is STILL time left to participate in the 2021 FIYA Virtual Cross Country program! We've designed (10) TEN additional courses at various parks and recreation areas throughout Los Angeles for any and all of our student-athletes to continue to compete in! Simply register your runners on athletic.net, show up on your own day and time, run the FIYA course that's been laid out, submit your race digitally (also via athletic.net), and we'll do the rest! All details including additional instructions, locations/courses, awards and scoring, and MORE on our Virtual XC Program can be found with the link below.

FIYA believes in the power of school-based sports and the impact a school athletic program makes on schools and their communities. Our organization is proudly made up of school participants from over 40 Los Angeles zip codes (and counting) that range from the San Fernando Valley to Long Beach. As we continue to grow, it is our belief that every child should have an equal chance to play sports, and we hope one way that's possible is through FIYA and our partnership with our member schools' athletic programs!
